Frank Busichio is the president of APSC. As a Founding Board Member with Dr. Dreyer in 1993, we are very proud of sustaining the mission of the organization for over 30 years. In his own words:
I started AIDS work in NYC in 1988 with the Gay Men’s Health Crisis/ Community Research Initiative. I have also worked in NJ DOH implementing HIV protocols in Mathadone Clinics, and left to work for Snohomish Health District as the manager for HIV Prevention and Care Services. Working under the eye of Dr. Hinds, we were able to implement the Needle Exchange, AIDS Housing, Frient-to-Friend, Women’s services, and other assorted programs. After 18 years there, I took on the challenge of Health Care Manager at the Monroe Correctional Complex for eight years.
With an all volunteer Board and no staff, we work to be a community voice in prevention and care while adjusting to the changing face of HIV/ AIDS work.
Dr. Ann Dreyer is the Secretary of APSC. She is an internal medicine physician who has spent many years treating people with HIV / AIDS at the Everett Clinic. She is an artist and photographer as well as a founding member of AIDS Project Snohomish County. In her own words:
My interest in photography began as a way to chronicle my travels and has turned into a quest to capture the perfect picture. I have a long way to go but then the goal is the journey not the destination.
Gourd Art became an interest in 2013 after attending an art fair and then making my friend attend a gourd painting workshop with me. It is my creative outlet when I am unable to be out shooting photos.
I want to use my skills to raise money for our community’s HIV services. All Proceeds from the art sales will be donated to Aids project Snohomish County (APSC).
Jeannine Fosca is the Treasurer of APSC.
Cheri Speelman is the former president and a current board member of APSC.
Mary Kay Standish a board member of APSC.
